Danielle Cooper is a doctoral student at the School of Gender, Feminist and Women’s Studies at York University. Her research focuses on LGBTQ grassroots information organizations and the “queer” information activities found therein. She also holds a Masters degree (M.I.) from the Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto in collaboration with the Mark S. Bonham Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies and an undergraduate degree in Fine Art History (B.A. Hons) from the University of Toronto. Her recent research includes ethnographic projects at the Pride Library at the University of Western Ontario and the Lesbian Herstory Archives in Brooklyn, New York.
